[Wedding 101] How I Prepped My Face For My Wedding

Friday 19 June 2020

Those that follow my blog would know that I have acne issues since young and IDS Aesthetics and IDS Skincare helped to control it. However, after my pre-wedding shoot in Taiwan (and maybe I was stressed with the wedding planning), my skin went haywire. To make things worse, my makeup trial gave me an allergic reaction (they suspect it was cause the brushes weren't clean) and I only had 3 months to fix my skin before the big day. IDS helped make it possible again, so I'm sharing some common bridal concerns and solutions in this post!

1. Acne
It has been a while since I had a change of my skincare regime. I was advised to change some products and go for monthly facials and that helped to control my skin again! For facials, I would highly recommend Hydro Therapeutics Facial (HTF) for deep cleansing or Advanced Acne Treatment Plus (AAT+) for more serious cases as the light therapy can help to kill bacteria and reduce hyperpigmentation. You can check out my Hydro Therapeutics Facial review with my hubby and Advanced Acne Treatment Plus review.

I think products and facials are very important and they work hand in hand to solve skin issues by clearing the pores, keeping it clean and nourishing it! That's why for so many years I've only used IDS Skincare as it works really well for my sensitive combinational skin. During the 3 months to revive my skin to its original state, I had an updated skincare routine for a skin detox and had monthly facials. I did HTF, AAT+ and CTT before my big day.

2. Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentations can lighten on their own but it takes time. I have very sensitive skin with hyperpigmentation that takes forever to disappear. AA was a product recommended to me and it really helps to speed up the lightening of hyperpigmentations. You can check out my past AA review, do note that you have to consult a doctor to get the AA.

3. Bumps
You can also consider going for IDS Aesthetics' Pico Laser to reduce bumps, smoothen your skin and lighten hyperpigmentations. It's a newer version of CO2 Laser and is more effective. Each treatment will have some downtime so you will have to take that into consideration too. You should be able to see a big difference after 3 sessions.

4. Puffy Face
IDS Aesthetics' Oxy V Lift Facial gives you instant face lifting to reduce puffiness. The effects only last for a few days though, so perhaps you should only do it a few days before your wedding if puffy face is your concern. You can check out my Oxy V Lift facial review.

5. Dull Skin
I would highly recommend bride-to-be to do the Cryo Therapeutic Treatment (CTT) a week before your facial to hydrate and brighten your skin. It's easier to apply makeup on hydrated skin and a natural glow is always a better base. This facial is not suitable for all as it might be a little too moisturizing so do check with the therapists as they have a light version of CTT too. You can check out my Cryo Therapeutics Treatment review.

P.S. IDS Aesthetics is now open for facials in Phase 2, so hurry and book your appointment now at idsaesthetics.com!

Hope these helped all of you and congratulations on your wedding!
