Katelyn's Zenyum Experience: 2-Months Update and QNA

Sunday 24 March 2019

Many of you have been asking me for updates on my teeth, so here it is! I will also answer a few of the more commonly asked questions about Zenyum that I received over the last two months.

1. Any updates on the Zenyum treatment after wearing for 2 months? (Dec 2018 to Feb 2019)
So I've been wearing my Zenyum invisible aligners for two months now and here are the before and after photos that many of you have asked for.

To be honest... I haven't been very disciplined but my teeth are still shifting according to plan. The gaps from the IPR procedure is slowly closing and my teeth are slowly being pushed inwards. When I went for the fitting, my doctor told me "compliance is very important" and my bf has been repeating it to me ever since. However, I think it's a little hard to wear for at least 22 hours per day. I can do so if I'm home but usually, if I'm out for dinner, I only wear it for about 20 hours. So I always end up wearing the aligners for an additional day or two before changing it and that will only extend my treatment duration.

2. How long is your Zenyum Treatment plan?
My treatment plan is about 9-10 months long as I have 16 sets of aligners. But I think at the rate I'm going, it's gonna be 12 months long hehe.

3. Is it painful to wear the Zenyum Invisible Aligners?
Nope, it is not painful at all to me. I felt some discomfort each time I changed to a new set of aligners, but it just felt like light tugs on certain teeth.

4. Where did you learn about the Zenyum treatment and what made you trust them?
I learnt about Zeyum through their Facebook ad and contacted them to find out more (with the intention to pay). I have to admit that I was quite skeptical too cause it's a new brand and it's way cheaper than its competitors (Zenyum costs $2,200 and it's competitors are easily priced at $5,000+). I only trusted them after seeing some case studies that they shared with me and I'm glad it's really working for me!

5. Why is Zenyum so much cheaper than Invisalign and other brands?
Unlike other clear aligner brands, Zenyum focuses on treating cases of mild to moderate complexity. Less complexity reduces the overall price of the treatment by cutting down on treatment length and time spent at the dentist’s office. The strong demand through social media and digital workflows has also helped to lower costs through economies of scale. And unlike their competitors, Zenyum invisible braces are produced in South-East-Asia, hence reducing the shipping costs. All these savings are passed on to the customer, making Zenyum more affordable than other competitors in the market.

6. Are there any student price for the Zenyum Treatment?
The Zenyum Treatment costs a fixed price of $2,200 and they do not have any student promo. However, you can use my Zenyum promo code "Katelyn50" in your first email interaction with them to enjoy $50 off your aligners!

Hope this post answered most of your questions! :) I will do another update soon so feel free to keep your questions coming.

  1. The after actually looks worse than before, only whiter?

    1. Hi, the gaps are actually tightening. It will take a while for the teeth to twist and straighten. I will be sharing updates along the way! :)

  2. Hi! How many mm were your IPR, and how soon did the gap close significantly? After 1 month was it halfway closed? (compared to your 2 Month pic)
I just did 0.3mm IPR on my front teeth few days ago and am on my first set of aligners.. can't wait to have the gaps closed...
    Looking forward to more updates!

    1. Hi, mine had gaps that were 0.2 to 0.5mm so some closed faster. I'm starting my 7th set now and most gaps have closed except for 2. Thanks for following! :)

  3. How many sets of aligner did they provide for $2200?

    1. Hi Terrence, I have 13 x 3 sets of aligners. However, the quantity may vary as it depends on how many sets your teeth requires. $2200 is the full cost for the treatment regardless of the number of aligners.
