Moved out of Hall 8 on 4th May!

My room was BLK 43, Level 2, Room 798!

Bye to the room I stayed in for 2 years.

2nd level, 2nd room from the left.

Comms Hall

Block 43!

Shifted everything out and returned the room key.

After that I went to IMM with dad and grandma.

Cause I still have around 1hour plus before DIP meeting.

Walked around IMM.

Went to Giant to do some shopping.

Bought Crispy Chicken from Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks :)

Going back to the car and daddy drove me back to NTU.

Reached school and realised only 5 out of 10 were meeting! LOLS!

My subgroup report was done already so actually Chor Seng and I don't need to be there.

But we were there to see if others needed help :)

Kai Sen, Sam and Yong Jian were rushing their report.

I had my lappy with me. So I used photoshop to help them with their report pictures :)

We stayed there all the way till 6pm to print report!

And my sweet sweet parents offered to come to school to pick me up :)

But I really can't stand the train rides! :( Two hours of public transport in order to reach home!

Went to Cant 16 for dinner with Cheryl and Kah Yan! :)

Stayed in hall for 1 year plus and I've never gone to cant16 k =X

Yes yes. I'm pure lazy. hahas.

Heard many people say the food there was nice.

But I'm just too lazy to go =P

Furtherest I've gone was cant13?

Actually cant 13 is further than cant16 lols!

The two younger ones collecting food while I sit and wait!

Someone has to look after the valuables at the table ;)

I did offer to help take the food too though :)

Super hungry cause I didn't have lunch that day.

Purpose was to tempt Fel who wasn't with us that day. lols.

Chicken cutlet with fries!

Wanted to go healthy and have grilled fish.

But they ran out of fishes that day :(

I felt the serving was super large!

I almost couldn't finish my food.

Forced myself to finish it :(

The chicken cutlet was nice,

Coleslaw was nice too (taste like KFC one),

Baked beans was the usual type,

Fries was okay (but I still prefer cant9 fries)

Maybe will go there again to try out the grilled fish :)

When I'm not feeling lazy hahas.

Or someone please drag me along if you do go there.

Usually I only go far places when ppl ask me to hahas.

Had a quiz one of the saturdays!

So sad had to stay in hall on friday night :(

Luckily my roomie was in too!

Else it would be even sadder :(
But we all couldn't wait to go home!

So on that saturday I woke up at 7am to revise.

And...

Saw the sunrise!! :)

Hmm took this in my room,

with the window gauze there!

Wonder why it didn't show in the photo.

But oh wells! It's too my benefit anyways!

Hahas didn't have to walk out to take the photo!

And usually I will miss the sunrise,

even if I wake up at 6am.

But I managed to see it that day! :)

It's actually nicer, a lil reddish.

No idea why it didn't show on the photo!

But I finally saw the sunrise in hall!

Took a nap in hall.

Woke up at around 7pm.

Went to the toilet.

And before I even entered the toilet,

I saw a rainbow!

So girl here who likes to take photos of rainbows,

ran back to the room to take her phone! hahas.

Photo taken through my window (to make sure the rainbow still there) =P

Nice rainbow! It lasted for very long! :)

And I realised it was a double rainbow through the photos hahas.

My hall's halloween event!

Cause one of our FOC maincomm member's dad sells fried ice-creams,

we bought from them and sold it at the event! :)

Fried ice-cream!

1 @ $3.50

2 @ $6.00

We had 100 instock and all were sold out at the event! :)

Ice-cream frying in the process! :)

I bought a strawberry one! :)

Was having a sore throat but I still wanted to try it!!

So I bought a strawberry one instead of my favourite chocolate flavour!

At least can reduce the harm by a lil bit right?

Yummy!

First time trying and it's nice!

Wonder where to buy it outside.

Hmmm...

Was at the stall the whole time.

So I didn't really know what happened at other stalls.

But there was a dunking machine store!

Pay to have a chance of dunking someone! =P

There was a short performance by jam band too.

But other than that I think there was nothing else interesting :(

Quite a short event.

But at least FOC earned money!

From the sales of the fried ice-cream and past FOC t-shirts! :)

I managed to help FOC sell a few t-shirts! :)

During the recess week, I had to come back to school for this!

Made me miss my tech comm lab experiment :(

Luckily my group members video it for me so I will at least know what they did.

Good girl right?

And then it was lunch time!

Had lunch alone :(

Others were there with their club people.

But no one in my hall went :(

Canteen B's western food became better! :)

A lil nicer than what I ate the previous time.

But still so-so only not really very nice.

Then I went to get Mr.Bean! :)

Wanted to get what I usually buy - icy chocolate soya.

It's chocolate soya milk ice blended! :)

But I saw a new product they have and gave it a try!

Lychee Icy with Lychee Pearls!

Was thinking what was lychee pearls.

In the end it turns out to be Lychee Bursts!

Those that you put on you yoghurt ice cream.

The moment you bite it, the juice in it will flow out :)

The lychee burst was nice!

But didn't really like the lychee icy.

They had lychee bits in it I think.

Had a weird taste :(

Then comes the time where I drank all the icy and all the lychee bursts were still in the cup.

So this girl here, happily wanted to open the cover of the cup.

As what one would normally do, I slide my thumb and apply force at the bottom of the cover.

And suddenly, ouch!

I got a long and quite deep cut by the cover!

Painful! :(

Wanted to go to the medical center to get a plaster.

But they were out for lunch.

So I went back to the venue where the talk was held and hope that I have a plaster in the bag.

And lucky for me, I had plasters in my bag!! :)

Because of the cut, I couldn't hold my pen properly :(

Very painful when the pen touches my thumb.

(even with a plaster on)

In the end, I got distracted!

That was also when I found out that I got the two Real Steel Gala Premier tickets!

But I wasn't able to go and had to reject it cause I was celebrating Joy's bday that night.

Ended surfing the net cause the back part of this talk wasn't really relevant to me.

It was more for those clubs that will be audited and for hall FOC, there wont be any audits!

Superheroes & Cartoons At School

What was it about?

It's Hall 8's Maxar Charity Committe's event at

Spastic Children's Association of Singapore

(notice both the organisation and the event name's initials are SCAS!)

So I joined as a volunteer for the event :)

Second time volunteering for maxar's event :)

So what did we do that day?

First there was a skit by the maxar comm

(to teach the kids the right and wrong i.e. return lost and found, etc)

Then each of us are paired with a kid.

And we have to bring them around to play at each station :)

(Not allowed to post photos of the kids as some don't have photo consent)

So what did we have indoor?

A photo booth! :)

And there was a candy floss machine too! :)

But the candy floss melts super quickly.

So my hand ended up sticky :(

Now to the outdoor stations! :)

The hand painting station!

Where the kids' thumb would be painted and they will leave 4 thumbprints.

Each on S,C,A,S on the banner!

The Uncle Ringo inflated balloon!

I've never played his when I was young ok =X

So during our break we went to jump jump! hahas!

The Finding Nemo Station :)

The kids will be given a fishing rod to fish for Nemo! :)

Only one real water pool though =X

SMURFS! :)

It's the throw the ring station :)

The kids will be given a few bangles and they have to throw and loop it around the bottles.

Halloween station?!?

I think it was just a deco by the school in preparation for halloween.

Infront of these deco was tables and chairs.

The kids each made a paper puppet there :)

So we were at the event from 9am-3+pm

It was an ok experience but tiring.

I think it's because we have to keep bringing them here and there.

Then at the end of the event, Cheryl and I met up to go and buy Joy's birthday present.

Will be doing another post on it another day :)

I think I won't be selling films to my friends anymore I guess.

Sold films to a friend at my supplier's rate.

But I forgot to tell her that I haven't include shipping charges.

And she collect the money from her friends already

and say it would be a lil hard to collect the shipping fee again.

So I ended up losing money for her batch of orders.

It was $0.5 * 32 = $16.

So quite abit lehh :(

But bo bian la. Is I forgot to say still got shipping charges.

But luckily there were other customer orders so overall still got earn a bit.

How To Record Meeting Minutes :)

Had my first meeting on thursday as a financial secretary :)

BUT I didn't know how to record minutes! lols!

So I just kept typing and typing on words document and not knowing how to arrange them.

How can a financial secretary not know how to record minutes right! :(

After the meeting ended, I went back to my room and faster google about how to record meeting minutes!

* Googles online *

Things needed:
- Laptop
- Pen and Paper (optional cause I prefer typing)

So here are the important stuffs to include in a meeting minutes:
1) Name of Organisation, Date, Time and Location of meeting

2) Attendance!
list down the names (together with their titles) of those who are present for the meeting

3) Dicussions/Decisions made during the meeting

4) Actions to be followed up (Homework!)

That's very much what is required to be on the meeting minutes! :)

*phew i got all of them for this first meeting*

Seems little right? But I typed alot!

The main bulk was the discussions and decisions made section.

Read a bit more online.

They mentioned about not joining in the discussion

(cause won't be able to focus and stuff)

And also, to check and clarify with the in-charge if there is anything that you don't understand.

Hmmm...

I think this two points aren't really relevant to me.

I have to join the discussion. That's for sure.

Cause I need to give suggestions as well.

As for the part on clarifying, maybe it's a note for external meeting minutes recorder to note?

Cause for my case, I somewhat know what they are discussing and stuff as I have been in this committee for a year plus already! Since year 1 in hall 8! :)

Finally here is the Hall 8 DnD post!

I'm super lagging in my posts :(

Cause some of the photos I need but I did not take any.

So had to wait for my friends to upload on facebook.

Curious about the new dress I bought the other day and said I was wearing it for DnD?

Here it is! :)

It's a self manufactured dress by Fairebelle!

Inspired by the D&G dress Selena Gomez wore to vanity fair oscar party! :)

Shopped online and bought it for hall's DnD! :)

Cause the theme was heroes and fairytales

and the pastel purple dress looks very fairytale-ish :)

In daddy's car! :)

Daddy drove me to the event venue - Holiday Inn Atrium!

Daddy always drive me wherever I want to go,

and mummy will always accompany him to keep a lookout for traffic!

So sweet right? I have the best parents! :)

And yupps I brought my polaroid camera :)

Gonna take polaroids with my hall friends! :)

Where all the function rooms are!

Our menu for the day!

First up was the combination platter!

The food was okok only.

Maybe cause it was quite oily,

and I don't like oily food! :(

Cause I want to loose weight then I always use kitchen paper to drain the oil first.

And slowly I got used to not liking food that is very oily or has a very strong oil taste!

I'm fine with mcdonalds though, except for their fries =X

Then it was shark's fin!

Don't really find it nice too :(

Maybe cause I forgot to add a little bit of vinegar.

Usually I will add 1/2 drops of vinegar and add pepper too!

Fish and Prawn!

These two were not bad!

Like the sauce they use for the prawn :)

And the fish was quite fresh :)

Mushroom, bean curd skin and vege!

This was quite saltish =X

But the mushroom was the soft soft kind! :)

Chicken!

Hmmm this was not bad too.

Dind't eat the skin though.

Cause it was oily =X

But the meat was fine! :)

Noodles!

Didn't like it :(

It's really just noodles and nothing else!

So it was quite plain and bland.

And it was rather dry too :(

Last up was Red Bean Sago.

Didn't really like it.

Didn't finish it too.

Too sweet :(

So yupps!

That was all the food for the day.

Spending $50 for such food was not quite worth it :(

But... I did enjoy myself!

There was the pageant contest so we were cheering for our own clan memebers.

And after the event we went around to take photos with each other! :)

And so sorry for the lousy photos :(

That was the week I forgot to bring my camera home.

And all the cameras I had at home weren't charge or were too bulky :(
