Baby Skincare Tips with Cetaphil Baby Organic Calendula Range

Thursday 17 September 2020

Did you know a lack of moisture in a baby's skin can cause or exacerbate a variety of skin problems, including dry skin itch, chafing and even eczema? Protect and Nourish Your Little One's Delicate Skin with this new range that is formulated with organic calendula that is clinically-proven to give up to 24-hour hydration, all of which are paraben-free. Calendula officonalis is known to have anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving rashes! Here are some baby skincare tips shared during the Zoom Party with Cetaphil!

1. Bath for less than 10 minutes with mild cleansing soap (such as the Cetaphil Baby Organic Calendula Wash & Shampoo) and avoid bubble bath.

The Wash & Shampoo is a clinically proven gentle formula to keep the skin hydrated for up to 8 hours with key ingredients such as organic calendula, glycerin and aloe vera. It keeps the baby's skin and hair soft, smooth, improves skin texture and is lightly fragranced. It is retailed at $24.90 for a 400ml pump bottle.

2. Change diapers every 3 hrs to avoid diaper rash.

3. Avoid using wet wipes unless for convenience when travelling, cause even 100% water based wipes may contain preservatives. Clean with water and cotton instead.

4. Clean the baby's face with a cotton handkerchief or wet cotton after feeding.

5. Sun protection is advised only after 6 months old and it should be physical sunscreen for babies. Do not use adult sunscreen and avoid sun from 10am to 4pm to prevent sunburn.

6. Wear light weight cotton clothing to keep cool in Singapore's hot and humid weather.

7. Keep the baby's skin hydrated with a gentle lotion (such as the Cetaphil Baby Organic Calendula Daily Lotion).

The Daily Lotion is a clinically proven gentle formula to keep the skin hydrated for up to 24 hours with key ingredients such as organic calendula, sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil and panthenol. It soothes, softens skin, improves skin texture and is lightly fragranced. It is retailed at $27.90 for a 400ml pump bottle.

8. If the baby has mild eczema, apply a fragrance-free, paraben-free, lightweight moisturizer (such as the Cetaphil Baby Organic Calendula Advanced Protection Cream) three times a day.

The Advanced Protection Cream is a multi-purpose cream formulated to soothe spots of dryness and irritation for up to 8 hours with key ingredients such as organic calendula, allantoin, shea butter, sunflower seed oil and panthenol. It gently protects the baby's delicate skin and is fragrance-free. It is retailed at $12.90 for a 85ml tube.

The new Cetaphil Baby Organic Calendula range, which is made in Germany, is now available at Guardian, Unity, Watsons, Fairprice, hospital retail pharmacies, Redmart, Amazon and official Cetaphil online stores on Lazada, Qoo10 and Shopee.
